 
“Cherishing our past,
building for our future” is the motto for the Tunica Biloxi Tribe in
Marksville’s LA. Our Team in June completed a remarkable project in the
tribe’s expansion of their Paragon Resort Casino. It
involved the recreation of a Cajun swamp, complete with seven 45 ft. Bald Swamp
Cypress trees in a ten story atrium complete with water feature. This
attraction had live alligators added while
we were putting the finishing touches on native grasses (artificial also} in the
water. We all took great pride in creating an atrium planting true to the
tribe’s heritage with deep local roots.

Excited
again for Calscape to return to Las Vegas,
Plantworks hometown, September 26-28 at the Riviera Hotel. Vegas
Fact: In 1955 The Riviera was the first high-rise hotel on
the Strip built by a group of Miami “Investors”. All casinos at that time
were one-story road style motels, The Riviera at five stories,
started the climb to the sky. Now the Skyline of the Strip equals most
cities in the world. The Stratosphere stands at 1149 ft. one of the
tallest structures in the US, The Wynn Resorts stands 45
stories at 614 ft., and recently complete Trump International Towers is 620 ft. tall. |

| Remarkably
ground is being broke soon for The Crown Las Vegas, project was
formerly called Las Vegas Tower, and it will have 142 floors and top off at
1,888 ft. making it one of the tallest in the world. Far cry from 1955 when
every thing was one story. See you at the trade show
