ARTIFICIAL PALM TREES
WHOLESALE

The Westgate Planet Hollywood project is one of the latest in our portfolio to feature our artificial palm trees. Our artificial palm trees are sold at wholesale prices at the Las Vegas Design Center. Artificial palm trees are manufactured by a trained team of tree builders who proudly custom build palm trees, or artificial trees of choice, to client specifications.

For this project, the Westgate Resorts of Orlando, Florida, built the 50-story tower in Las Vegas that is connected to the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The Plantworks of Las Vegas worked with the client on multiple interior and exterior landscape designs. The final project was completed in December 2009.

Artificial palm trees were used in interior spaces, and the palms feature original hand carved trunks and detailed faux painting. On the exterior pool deck three stories up, which is exposed to all-weather conditions, landscapers added multiple rooftop planters and artificial plants made of UV Rated materials to withstand the elements.

The interior artificial palms used for the Planet Hollywood project stand nearly 15 feet tall.

The Plantworks manufactures and custom designs silk trees, palms, and topiaries. We provide silk trees at wholesale cost, and we use the silk trees for client projects. Recent projects have included: the redesign of The Tropicana Hotel along the Las Vegas Strip, the Peppermill Resort Casino in Reno, NV; and the Tulalip Resort in Washington state. These three multi-million-dollar projects all included silk trees and artificial components in their interior landscape design. These projects are just three examples in the portfolio of award-winning work of our team of expert designers and craftsmen.

In The Tropicana Hotel project, silk palms were used to create an ambiance of South Beach Florida in the middle of Las Vegas. Our designers chose to use silk Bougainvillea alongside the 12-foot-tall artificial palms.

The Peppermill project required the use of weather-resistant UV Rated silk plants to withstand varying Reno temperatures. Designers chose to use silk Italian Cypress and artificial ivy plants in an exterior setting.

Finally, the Tulalip Resort project brought the outdoors inside in a variety of ways. The Plantworks used grasses, silk trees and branches to add a natural element.

The Plantworks tree builders can custom build and custom design each and every silk tree ordered for a project or single use. Our silk trees are manufactured on site in our 10,000-square-foot Las Vegas manufacturing center. The wholesale silk trees are designed and assembled in Nevada by trained staff. The Plantworks Undergoes a New Design Project

The Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino

The Plantworks undergoes a new design project – The Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino – scheduled to open in December 2010 in Las Vegas. This project comes off the heels of two national award-winning projects, Peppermill Resort Spa Casino (Reno) and The M Resort Spa Casino (Las Vegas), and re-affirms The Plantworks as the “Go To” manufacturer for custom design and building of artificial landscaping product.
For over nine months, the Plantworks team has worked with The Cosmopolitan architects, general contractor and landscape contractor to provide thousands of unique and specially engineered artificial plants for use in the project’s Porte Cochere and the pool recreational deck area. Varieties include: bamboo, boxwood, juniper, laurel and bougainvillea vines.

The Plantworks has blazed the trail in development and application of UV Rated “Polyblend” foliage in exterior commercial landscapes. Specially manufactured juniper and boxwood foliage components were made fire retardant just for this project. To meet production deadlines some items were air freighted from Hong Kong to Las Vegas. Over one thousand man hours were spent hand crafting each plant at the Plantworks Design Facility in Las Vegas.

This landmark project demonstrates the dramatic use of artificial foliage in the highest profile hospitality facility. Our product is cost effective, sustainable, colorfast UV Rated, fire retardant, conserves water and is maintenance-free exterior landscaping. The artificial plants are used in landscaping that covers thousands of square feet of public areas. Our design team integrates the product to reach the highest level of architectural intent.

Outdoor “PolyBlend” plant materials are hot molded, PVC spun-cast, dense plastic that is similar to that used in PVC piping and car bumpers. Most components are unitized constructed to withstand wind, rain and extreme weather. Plantworks custom engineers each plant on painted steel poles or frames to match your specifications.

The installation of Outdoor “Polyblend UV Rated Polycaise” treatment at The M Resort involved first the prefabrication of architectural shapes and forms. Then, installers attached the artificial plants at the property, detailing corners at the end. The results are lifelike green foliage-covered columns and frames that also shape the embedded television screens in the background.

Each artificial hedge was 120 feet long and was built on fabricated steel frames covered with UV Rated “Polyblend” material. LARGE ARTIFICIAL TREES

Natural pine trees standing 30 foot to 40 foot tall, with the caliber of 10-12 inches, were harvested in the American Northwest. They were dried, processed, and made fire retarded. These special trees would become part of the cornerstone of the Paragon Hotel project. Each top would be received by a special steel pipe receiver attached to the inner super structure of cast steel plates and pipes. These super structures could support thousands of pounds of cement, wood, and branches. The outer branches hold specially manufactured foliage, which total over 15,000 pieces, custom made to our specifications.

The Plantworks harvests curly willow trees from California. After the trunks dry in the Las Vegas heat, our master tree builders create custom artificial plants made in the USA. The use of commercial grade artificial foliage on the curly willow trunk adds beauty to the Marginata. The artficial plant, Dracena Marginata is a favorite of both clients and designers alike. Plantworks handmade artificial bamboo plants can be built 4 to 30 feet using domestic grown real natural cane in diameters of 1 to 6 inches. Bamboo can be created any size for use in a planter, atrium, or as an individual plant. Our Articial Plant New Design Style makes bamboo available in five fun colors, Golden Wheat, Chili Powder Red, Black Licorice, Fresh Basil and Chocolate.

Renewable Resources- Artificial Plants

Plantworks can help you showcase permanent silk bonsai accents from tabletop to 14-foot free standing. There are a wide variety of wood that can be used for the trunks: Manzanita, grapevine trunk, rough oak, or all hardwoods. Our designers build each tree to reflect a motion and form similar to the Lone Cypress at Pebble Beach’s 17-Mile Drive. We can also create an unbelievable Silk Manzanita, “bonsai style,” with Asia ficus leaves. Our craftsmen create works artificial plants in bonsai style with Manzanita wood. We feature commercial grade artificial silk plants, and our renowned bonsai also feature real wooden trunks.	The Plantworks span of products includes botanical accents with renewable wood such as: Birch, Curly Willow, Grapevine, and Manzanita. In 2005, Plantworks designed and created interior plant and floral accents for three major spas in Las Vegas: Treasure Island, Venetian Canyon Ranch Spa, and Red Rock Casino Resort Spa. At The Spa at Red Rock, over 35,000 square feet of artificial Zen plantings was needed in various sizes. Plantworks’ artificial handcrafted faux bamboo was used intensely and has become an architectural element to interior design.Picture on the left:

Artificial faux Bamboo on natural cane adds the intimate backdrop to a spa poolside cabana at the Red Rock Hotel & Casino. Plantworks faux Bamboo is one of a kind and entirely manufactured here in Las Vegas on renewable, domestically grown bamboo cane.

At the Red Rock Casino Resort, the Plantworks used faux bamboo as functional plant art. The bamboo plants were used as an accent at the resort spa. The shape of the bamboo leaves and the texture of their bark add to the overall Red Rock design and theme.	The Plantworks created floral art at The Spa in the Red Rock Casino Resort using lifelike Bambusa.
