LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Chief Operations Officer Lily DeVos and her award-winning Plantworks crew are enjoying the holidays after a successful 2010 year of landscape projects, which include The Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, and City Center on the Las Vegas Strip. The Plantworks specializes in artificial plants, artificial trees, and custom artificial plants and trees.
DeVos is COO and president of The Plantworks, which she purchased three years ago. She is a certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). In her first year of ownership, The Plantworks received the top Judge’s Excellence Award from the Plantscape Industry Alliance (PIA) in 2008 for its work on the Paragon Casino Resort Project.
The Plantworks team worked on The Cosmopolitan project for over nine months this year to provide thousands of unique and specially engineered artificial plants for use. Varieties include: bamboo, boxwood, juniper, laurel and bougainvillea vines. For the City Center, The Plantworks was commissioned to create a special interior design project for its new Social House restaurant. The final result is the “Bird Cage,” a natural wood sculpture with a wind-swept theme.
Off the Strip, The Plantworks has been busy creating custom designed products for clients throughout the country. The company has its own Design Center of 15,000 square feet of showrooms, plus 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Las Vegas. The 30-foot-tall ceilings allow craftsmen to prebuild trees and disassemble for shipping.
